A Bentayga finance quote from the dealer is a big number on a big car, and at this end of the market it's genuinely hard to see whether it's competitive. There's no obvious comparison point sitting next to it — until you run one.

That's what Prefinance does: we take the dealer's own finance example for the exact Bentayga you're looking at and compare it against the best available rate from our panel of finance brokers for that type of vehicle. On average, that comparison can turn up savings of up to 30% against dealer finance; though that's an average across many deals, not a guarantee for yours, and some dealer finance at this level (manufacturer-backed or otherwise) is already well priced.

How does Prefinance work out the savings?

You give us the vehicle — by registration, by make and model, or by pasting in a link from a dealer site or listings site like Autotrader, provided that page shows a finance example. We compare the dealer's own quote against the best available rate from our broker panel for that type of vehicle, assuming you'd qualify for the panel's best rate and that the dealer is FCA authorised. Every comparison is saved, so you can revisit it later rather than just your most recent one.

Representative APR means at least 51% of customers offered finance by that provider get that rate or better; a genuine benchmark, not a promise of your own rate. How much you'd actually save depends on the specific car, the deposit, and your own credit profile.

What affects the rate you're offered?

You credit score does the heavy lifting, but deposit size, term length and the car's age all move the number too; compare the 24-month and 48-month rows on the same 2023 Hybrid above, and you'll see the monthly payment shift considerably even before the balloon is factored in. Dealers and brokers also earn commission for arranging finance, which is a real reason two near-identical Bentaygas can be offered at different rates by different dealers; exposing that gap is a large part of what Prefinance's comparison actually does. Worth remembering too: on a car at this price point, insurance, servicing and depreciation all run into serious money as well, so the finance rate is only one part of the total cost of running one.

What to check before you apply

  1. Confirm the deposit and mileage in your comparison match the dealer's actual quote — the deposit is editable, but a mismatch elsewhere skews the result.

  2. Work out your own amount of credit (price minus deposit). Above £60,260, it's very unlikely your agreement is FCA-regulated in the way a cheaper car's would be.

  3. If the cash price is over £100,000, check whether any "final payment" quoted is actually a GFV or a balloon — they're not the same thing, and only one comes with a guaranteed hand-back right.

  4. Read the broker's full representative example before signing anything — it carries the exact figures for your deal, not the illustrative ones above.

  5. If you're buying through a business and Lease Purchase is on the table, expect to apply for a quote rather than getting an instant comparison.

None of this tells you upfront whether the dealer's Bentayga quote in front of you is already good — at this end of the market, manufacturer-backed rates sometimes are. The only way to know for sure is to run the comparison on your specific car and see what the panel of brokers comes back with.

Disclaimer

Rates are the best available and may not be available for this exact vehicle. Mileages, vehicle age, term of loan, the exact lender and the type of finance can all affect the rate and monthly payment. Rates can change and previous examples shown may no longer be available. We use large language models (LLMs) to extract data from website pages to calculate our savings. LLMs can make errors so it's important you check the information on any quotes with the brokers in our panel. They will re-run all quotes with their individual lenders panels to find the appropriate deal based on today's rates.

Our assumptions

To provide our comparisons, we make the following assumptions:

1
You have a good credit rating and will qualify for the provider's best available rate.
2
The vehicle you have chosen is from a dealer who is FCA authorised.
3
If the example is for a personal contract plan (PCP), that the GFV (guaranteed future value) is the same. If the lender is different from the dealer's lender, the GFV could be higher or lower, which will affect your monthly payments.
4
That the deposit is the same. You can change the deposit using the edit button)
5
For Lease Purchase you will need to request a quote from one of partners by submitting an application.
